It was bad enough when Ed, Farrah, and Michael died last week.
To make it really sad, yesterday Gale Storm and Billy Mays died. Many of you won't remember Gale in My Little Margie, but Billy Mays is a hero to knifemakers. He made our industry popular by letting the world know that a knife can cut tin cans in half. I am putting all my Sham-wows on ebay today, while the buying craze is hot. I plan on passing the Ginsu set down to my children, so don't ask to buy it, it isn't for sale.
His Samurai Shark also proved that there is no reason to spend hours putting a hair shaving edge on a knife....it can be done in seconds.
On a more serious note, I will sort of miss Billy's grin and high pressure hawking.
RIP Gale and Billy.
