Hi All,

Let me introduce myself. My name it Matt, and I've been a lurker for several years (though I did post a few times in the past) I have ordered several items from HI in the past, none of them traditionally in a nepalese smith's repertoire- I've had three everest kats pass through my hands, a Janawar Katne, a Kumar Kobra, and a Tulwar. And I was certainly impressed with the quality for the price.

I recently received my "foxy folly" from the thread on the forums. It is amazing. While I cannot speak for other knives, as variations certainly exist, I will come right out and say that this knife is comparable to "custom smith" work in this country. The swords I have owned from HI were very nice, but not like this one. The workmanship is great, the balance is amazing- it has that "something" that customs have.

I got to handle one of those at Fogo's last weekend, and they were extremely impressive. Right up there with the best produced in this country, as you say. I just wish I had the funds to get one right now. *sigh* Ah well, the choice is more knives or freedom from the Army, so it's a no brainer. Enjoy your beautiful blade, and welcome!

Now you have the curse.

You can tell people outside this forum but they will not believe you.

Unless of course you let them hold the blade.
