Why is it Every time i see pics of knives now they are shown upside down? (edge up instead of the more common perspective edge down like most of the time you are holding it)

Usually when I see pics of knives they are normal with the blade side down. Sometimes there are two pictures one with blade down and one with blade up. It can be nice to show both sides of a knife.

My computer is flipping the pics in my paper copy of Blade magazine?

The simple answer? Why put that perfect edge they put on it for the pics onto a surface that might dull it? Not to mention when an edge is faceup the light plays off it better and displays the grind.
