someone please explain

I would stay away from it, save your money and get a Swamp Rat or a real Busse that has a guarantee.

i dont want it i am just curios if jerry knows this, and why?
I remember reading about this sometime ago - as I recall, Jerry sold some excess blanks. Note that it is 5160 steel, not INFI; Busse has used 5160 for apprentice knives.

I gotta agree with randucci, go for the real thing. I remember the thread also about the sale of the blanks, but they were definitely NON INfi.

I don't believe that these are some of the blanks that were bought by Justin. I suspect that they are from his normal lineup of Ranger knives. They can be bought throughout the web or at his website.

This has come up before, and it's all legit:

Jerry sold a batch of 5160 blanks to Justin, and also gave him permission to continue blanking them when the original lot ran out. So the design originated with Jerry, and continues with Ranger Knives... one more method Jerry has used to get high quality affordable knives into the hands of people who need them.

Yes it's a Ranger knife. Justin is a good guy. Has an excellent warranty. He also has been at the last two Hog dinners we've had in Atlanta.
Good knives at a good price.

I've used them and I have no worries about using these knives hard. He stands behind his product.
