Fit and finish and build quality is great, as we expect from Spyderco. It feels really nice in hand. The pivot is ever-so-slightly gritty; I actually kind of like it with the Calypso. This knife has a unique feel and I'm super pleased with it so far. I'm going to be carrying this one a lot, and Mr. Glesser is going to get a lot more of my money very soon.
 
Nice pics. Nice knife. I have considered that calypso for a while. It looks like a knife that would excel at food prep amongst many other uses! Enjoy.
 
Take the silly skulls off and you have a really nice knife.

Just get some good quality paracord if you pick up a Spyder bead and use the other skull to tie your own lanyard. There are some good YouTube how to vids.

. . . which, combined with the death's head are a brown recluse and killer hell hawk/crocodile. But don't try to convince me. Save it for the LEO or judge when/if the time comes. :) :(

Maybe I could say that the shine and glow in the dark eyes on the skulls are just there to make it easier for me to find the knife if I drop or lose it somewhere, also making it less concealable?
