Check this ended eBay auction out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360029860019

These were a re-listed item that did not meet the reserve the first time around. I was watching this item to see how high they would go the first time. I was then waiting for it to be re-listed but missed it completely when it came back up again. Funny how the re-listed auction ended up at only $2.50 higher than the high bid (with reserve not met) on the first auction.

If "stooby21" is a member of this forum, congrats to him for the great snag!

Those are some great looking Kershaw fixed-blades, and what seems like a great deal to me...I'm glad (in a way) I didn't see this one while it was still live or I might have spent even more money that I shouldn't have on knives...:)

The problem with that series was finding them without all the cracks in the stag, if you look at the photos you will see many cracks, and while they are still a nice set , what appears to be a steal becomes an OK price and not highly desirable to a collector. I have had them without cracks, but have seen many with them. I am not an expert on stag, but I know that some is very stable and some is not. Also there are things you can do to preserve stag depending on the climate in which you live.

Dave

I thought those were cracks!

Good pick up, Dave, and great info as always! :)
