Koval didn't have the kit I wanted so I ordered the stuff to try and make a lockback completely on my own. I ordered ATS34 because I know its a popular steel and think I remembered hearing it was pretty nice to work with.Any how I need someone to heat treat the blade when I have it ready. I know Paul Bos (spelling?) is supposed to be the best at ATS34, but will he take single blade orders? And what does it cost? Also I live in Ohio and I know he's in California, how long would it take to get it to him, and get it back? Is there anyone else I could send it to that would be easier? Thanks.

go with rob simonich, he is the best, he heat treats ats-34 among other steel, and is very good at it. he's in montana

Thanks,
I'll see about getting in touch with him when I get a little closer to that part of the knife.

Fix it right the first time, use Baling Wire !

Magnum, I'm using 1/8" stock and it'll probably be between 3 to 3.5" I haven't decided on the width because I'm still just thinking of different designs for it.

perfect, it should be $6. e-mail rob when your ready, and he'll talk you through it, when he recieves it, heat treates it, ect. plus the ats-34 will just get discolored so sand to 600grt, then send it away.
