So YOU are the one that scored that INCREDIBLE gentlemen's Cucchiara!!! Huge CONGRATS!! Matt IS one of my very FAVORITE makers!!!

I can't stand the torx fasteners!
But I love the blade carving. That is super neat.

I'm with Lorien. If it's a crossover art knife those big torx screws have to go, he could have used less of them as well.

That's one big detent hole!

I'm sure the next one will be just as nice, but more refined.

So now we're slamming someone's "Look at my latest score" posts?

Sorry, but I really appreciate someone being good enough to take the time to post pics of their latest acquisition- especially when it's something new and unusual. I doubt he was looking for a critique, nor is their any point to one, since he is not the maker.

If you guys all know each other and are just giving him a bad time, I apologize, but if not, please consider why you would want to be such a "buzzkill" for a fellow collector. It won't take much of this to make people real unlikely to want to bother posting- to the detriment of us all.

My $.02

I don't think anyone is slamming anyone.

Duane is a big boy too...you won't make him cry. I CAN, however......and do so often.;)

Nice Folder.

no one is slamming the maker or buyer. we are just stating that we think the torx fasteners dont flow with the knife. whats wrong with that?

I love Torx screws and that all you will ever see on my knives!:D But with that said this one would have looked better with smaller screws, but Iam just not set up for it, no smaller screws or taps in stock.... I dont usually make little stuff:) This was alot of fun for me to build and that front bolster is integral. As for the detent hole? Standard #53 hole for a 16th ball.....

I really love carving this stuff weather its Ti or the hardened steel its alot more fun for me to make. Keep your eye out for more stuff like this from me in the future. Thanks for the kind words and to you Duane for some awesome pics!

I guess next time I'll post smaller photos over here...this is a small knife.

I prefer Torx as well...something about a slotted wood screw on a thousand dollar knife just doesn't seem right to me. Here's someone who appears to agree...

I follow the unwritten rule I was advised of when first arriving here.

Be delicate when critiquing collector's knives (especially in "latest score" post) as they are most likely not seeking it.

Maker's are a different story as critique serves a purpose. Just my 2 cents.

Duane, A slotted screw on a thousand dollar knife doesn't seem right? What about a slotted screw on a 20K gun?

Torx would never work on a gun in case you had to field strip it. You could use a butter knife on a slotted screw if that's all you had.

I doubt there are many having to worry about field stripping a 20K gun outside of a velvet lined room ;) A torx driver with a bit set in the handle takes up as much space in a kit as a screwdriver :)

Nice score D !
