I made this last week, and shot some photos today.
The oyster shell is sterling silver and 3" long. It is hinged. The edible body is copper. The pearl is a natural baroque pearl.
The nacre is 18 karat gold plated over the silver in a special way to make it iridescent. The entire piece is hand raised from sheet stock.

I am going to hammer out a copper rock, with silver barnacles and other sea life for this oyster to sit on.
