So back in July I was blessed to marry my best friend and sweetheart in a good little old fashioned western outdoor wedding. I have been wanting to share that wonderful day with y'all for a while but have not been online much until this past weekend. I have missed hanging out here in the Busse forum so since I am here online tonight, I am not going to let this opportunity pass by.

Back in February I was lucky enough to experience Lexi's excellent customer service in having Garth & the rest of the Busse Custom Shop put together a special wedding knife for the occasion.
I am very grateful to everyone at Busse that allowed me to have the perfect cake knife to go with our wedding colors that day. It even has grey liners to match! You may notice that I carried it all day, even during the ceremony on my belt in a ChuddyBear Leather magnetic retention droploop sheath. I now present the MarriMuk.

While the rest of the country was in an extreme heat wave, it turned out to be a perfect summer day in western Montana at about 85 degrees with clear sunny skies, low humidity and a light breeze. This was the temperature map for the nation that day.

The top of our place was pretty overgrown when the family arrived to give their input on the layout before going at it with the tractor. As a result the wedding site was officially finished being setup to the mother of the bride's satisfaction that morning but it turned out well.

The music for the ceremony was provided by my dad on his electric fiddle.

The ceremony was simple with just 20 people which made it nice and personal.

Since it was a little warm for how we were dressed after the ceremony, I had to take my new wife out for a ride on the quad to cool off a bit.

Dinner was brought in by Famous Dave's BBQ, man is their beef brisket delicious.

The neighbors up the road were out for a weekend wagon ride and noticed us sitting down to eat under the willow tree and offered us a ride, so we offered them some yummy food in return for their kindness and perfect timing!

After dinner we cut the cake, vanilla with huckleberry filling.

It tasted great!

The cake was definitely no challenge for INFI and the Muk made a great serving tool as well. The shortness of the blade did make for an interesting cake geometry though.

We even had some fun on the tractor.

The sunset was pretty through the trees.

As daylight was quickly fading away we decided to go out with a bang, or actually about 230 rounds of them with a 1911 in it's centennial anniversary decked out in Busse sandstorm grips.

This was our favorite shot of the whole day and one we plan to have enlarged and mounted on our wall with the marriage certificate.

Congrats Tim,
Glad to see you posting again. One picture stands out in this series and that is your wife with the pistol and probably how she will look if you piss her off. :) The Muk is a beauty, love that handle. Good Luck and Happiness too you and your new Bride. I also appreciate the simple, but still elegant wedding, as I think a lot of people get carried away these day's spending thousands and thousands of dollars on bizzare wedding's. I think you two are going to be very happy!
