  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

This is kind of off topic but I'm bored tonight and thought I'd stick this up here. I posted them in shoptalk since the guys gave me some advice on finishing them.
These are made of mild steel. I did the engraving myself then back filled it with silver solder before rust browning them to give it some contrast. I didn't make the leather straps or the rowels, the straps are something I will eventually learn. The rowels would just be too much of a PITA.
Eventually I want to be able to make spurs like I make knives, for now though its very challenging cause I'm not too good at forging, and not too good at welding. The second pair is coming along though, I learned alot from the first.

Anyway, sorry its not knives, thanks for looking.

I think they are cool as hell. Not too many guys I know make both the hardware on their boots AND their belt.
