I had a customer contact me recently and asked if I had ever made a buffalo skinner style knife.I told him a had not but it was on my do list,so he gave me the opportunity to make this one.He sent a pic of a Rudy Ruhauna knife that he liked, which is what the blade is patterned from, the rest is my vision.5" upswept blade of 1095 with forge texture and antique finish and a sculpted curly claro black walnut handle,OAL is 10"The butt end features a freeform natural copper ore nugget and so does the sheath.Photo by Chuck Ward.

Very nice knife and sheath. Chuck did his usual wonderful job on the photo.:thumbup:

Thanks Greg.Yeah I am still around, just haven't had much stuff shot by the pros this year and doing a lot of repeat stuff like mini pipe hawks.

Very nice, John. The copper accent is cool.

Beautiful work! Both knife and sheath look amazing. Great attention to details, cool design and great version. I'm sure customer was very delighted.
