A couple of years ago I discovered a metalworking technique called foldforming and have been captivated by it ever since. For the longest I have wanted to make a knife handled in foldformed copper sheet and here is my first attempt at that,The copper scales are made using a technique called chasing on air and are fused with sterling silver and set from the back with 2 garnets on each side. The knife is made from 1095 and has an antique/hammered finish and is 7"OAL.The bail and lanyard beads are made from 1/4" foldformed copper tubing and the scales are pinned with brass pins.Additional features are filework and a rawhide wrapped bolster area. The rawhide covered sheath has a foldformed copper throat and a handmade pocket clip for belt or pocket carry.Photos are by Scott Roush of course! This is the first of many to come in this style, which is loosely based on Serge's Relic style knives.

this is much better :)

Does this help John? I mean.. we like the knife but don't need to see it twice. :-)

I still don't understand why he didn't like the first version of my shot:
