Here's one thats not 100% finished yet. Its based on my Chaperone tactical knife design which features a grip that takes a variety of grip positions. Basically its a handy utility knife that is built slender with curves, so it looks smaller than it actually is - a full 8+inches long. The handle gives it extra reach and will fit just about any size hand. Any comments or suggestions about the design and styling would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jason.

The handle looks a bit too thin and long. Personally, it doesn't ring my bell.

I like it. It looks to be a good utility knife and would make a good little protection/neck knife. I like the way the grip allows for extra reach if needed.

An interesting concept,
however, I think the cord wrap looks a little funny and uneven
around a wavy handle. Perhaps a different material?

I like it, thin and slim blade should sharpen up nicely ! ! !

How thick is the blade stock?

Let us know when you have the design finalized and the pricing.

Jason, I feel kind of odd critiquing your work but you asked! I really like the design and shape but I would drop the blade edge down some to create more of a finger guard and I'ts hard to tell without holding it or seeing a top view but I think it would look and feel great with either a textured wood or micarta contoured handle or more internal hemp wrap palm swell but still keeping it slim, if you don't change a thing it still looks great, Dave

Thanks for the feedback guys ! From where I sit, the handle design is sound, at least from an ergonomics point-of-view - it works. But the message I am getting is maybe to change the handle wrapping and setup - perhaps the materials, get a bit more definition and keep it clean ...

The blade is about 1/8inch thick after all the hammering and grinding off all my mistakes ... ;) and tapers all the way to the tip of the buttend. The whole handle is forged as well for strength.

What I might do, when I have time, is to strip the handle material, and use a different wrapping method and see what happens.

I'd still love to hear more suggestions and comments, good or bad. Thanks again for helping me make this a work in progress !. Jason.

I like the shape, but a new wrap definitely wouldn't hurt. Looking forward to seeing the result!

I really like all your work. Looked at all your knives on the other forum.

This knive is really nice, I like the shape. It would be REALLY nice if you could figure how to put a menuki under the wrap once you figure out what wrap looks best on it.

I have an old kitchen knife handle that has a rose on it. I have been trying to figure out how to split it down the middle to get two menuki type roses out of it  But there are a lot of different types of menuki out there. Like dragons and flowers etc. Hope you understand what I am talking about

Cheers
