I know khukuris are a norm around here but with the kind of standards that HI is setting, I was wondering how come there's no 4-inch HI knife for EDC?

If Bura, Sher or Kumar can come up with something like that (full tang, of course), it may just turn out to be a winner! ;)

my two kagas katne's have 3 inch cutting edges, one is 1/8" thick, the other is 1/4" thick

the bilton has a 5" cutting edge

im pretty sure that the jkm-1 has between 3-4" cutting edge, and the kumar karda around 5"....

the kumar karda looks reaally really nice, and if i had the money, i would buy one right now.../would have bought about a month ago...

A JKM-1 is a great lil' belt knife.

A modified JKM-1....even better...:D

right Nasty? :p

Hey!!!! Even I can confirm that!!!!:p :D
I'm gonna have to do mine the same way that Ray's is and possibly my Kumar Karda's as well!!!! I know it sure makes a helluva improvement!!!!:D

Yeah, the JKM-1 or Kumar Karda are pretty good EDC knives. If you could put a full flat ground edge on one, it would be even better. :D

HI has also produced a couple one of a kind knives with 4" to 5" blades. I have one and really like it.

How about a downright Nasty one?

Yes, it has become my favorite EDC...wouldn't be without it! On top of that, it carries the memories of a GREAT day!

Golok?

I'm kinda working on "Sarge's hunter." If it doesn't turn out too embarrassing, I'll see if I can get a picture.

It'll be stock reduction, and by someone without the talent of a knifemaker. :(
