My dad has been looking at buying a new knife and stepping up into higher quality. I figured that this makes for the perfect X-mas gift. It's not a knife that is going to be carried every day, but when he is carrying it, it must perform. He likes the size of my leek, but not the frame lock.

Criteria:
  • Preferably under $75, could go up to $100
  • Sub 3 inch blade
  • Under 4oz.
  • must have spine lock
  • Available in black

All his knives with my leek for comparison

Spyderco Caly3 in CF scales and a ZDP189 laminate blade. Beautiful knife and you dad would absolutely love it.
Or
Spyderco Chaparral, slightly smaller than the Caly3, CF scales, S30V steel. Perfect smaller gents folder.

that i don't know but it costs something like 105$, i believe.
do a little bit of internet search and you'll find it easy:)

If he likes the size of your leek but not the framelock, then get the liner lock G10 Leek - 1660G10. You can get them for ~ $60-70 on a random auction site and it has the S30V blade. Very very good deal for the price. It's even $68 on Amazon.
