Something for you gear heads-literally

It looks like HS is making a "cargo pockets" version of a Tilley hat. I bet the neoprene is to make the hat buoyant should the hat fall into water. Also to help keep it's shape and provide more sun protection.

Not my cup of tea, though.

Q: Who would clip the key to their BMW on the OUTSIDE of their hat.
A: The same type of person that would drive a H3.

Seriously, isn't that asking for trouble in the backwoods?
 
10oz empty..full the pockets full of crap and damn!!! Get a stiff neck from wearing that sucker!! :rolleyes: Dumb idea.
 
Come on, Todd, my leather fire helmet weighed about to eight pounds (IIRC). This thing is light by comparison. :p

Aside from the basic premise, which I see as pretty ridiculous, it's also ridiculously expensve.
 
I really like my Tilley hats. The one little pocket in the crown is all I need to store a credit card or $20 for unexpected needs.
