Hey Guys,

I know they are getting more and more rare as time goes on, but I managed to snag a NIB 1510 Random Task from our favorite auction site this week (thanks go to Don Vito for the heads up:thumbup:). The listing said mint, but he didn't say that it would still be sealed in the factory plastic wrap!! This thing has not been touched by human hands since it left the factory!!:D

I couldn't be happier. The knife is beautiful, the AO still snaps hard, sharp as can be, great blade shape, etc. etc.

Been looking for one for quite some time!!

I was just messing with my collection the other day, and I was admiring my Random Task. I forgot how hard the blade opens, the damn thing about flew out of my hand.
Good score there.

Glad ya snagged it jm. Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the find. bruleront, elarsky or someone sent me a PM about it in discussions on another knife. I can't remember who it was, and I've wiped out my PM box, and I knew you were looking for one, so.....

Ya gots ta thank some udder guyse, not me!

my fav. Congrats on the great score. :thumbup:

Fair enough Don Vito! In that case, thanks goes out to WHOEVER mentioned this knife to Brad. I appreciate it, and if you were bidding on it, well.....I'm sorry you had to compete against me:D, because I got a little hardcore at the end there!!

SPX, you're thinking of the Random Leek discussion we had. Easy for that to become conflated with Random Task, especially if you were recently talking about both to various people.

jonnymac, that's one great score. I'd like to see that blade finish used more on more recent models.

Looks like you could shave comfortably with it the way the blade is shaped,
............... but carefully !

Inquiring minds want to know...I've wondered about that also...


My Random Tasks (one PE, one CE) were basically NIB (and in the same kind of hinged boxes), but not with the box still sealed in plastic...the box and paperwork were definitely aged (NIB with alot of handling) although the knives are in great shape. With yours, even the box still looks mint and the knife literally glows! :D

A quick test with a magnet would work. Titanium (also aluminum, copper) is not magnetic.

Nice score jonnymac44! She's a beauty. It definitely wasn't my heads up; I watch out for them, and if the budget allows, I bid. Again, nice score!

Just tried the magnet test. The clip is not magnetic.
Looks like we have a Ti clip.
I knew the liners were Ti, but never thought about the clip.
