Something I just noticed on my Wave...

Maybe it was mentioned on the container or the packaging of my Leatherman Wave, but who reads that stuff anyway, right? :o

Most of you guys probably already know this, but I just noticed that it's easy to tell the serrated-edge blade from the plain-edge while the blades are closed, without looking or even in total darkness.

There are notches on the spine of the serrated blade that you can see and feel and none on the plain-edge blade....

Just thought I would share in case anyone else didn't know this.

Do the Victorinox multi-tools have a method to tell which is which without visually checking?

A good feature . Us Vic. owners are smart enuff not to need crude sensory prompts .

It's a feature I noticed right away and love. I use the blades dozens of times and its nice not to take your eyes off the job, easily find the blade and pull the right one. used 100's of times so far.

I noticed this, too, right after my wife (she bought it for herself) took it out of the box. Yes, it is a nice detail.

We very much do need sensory prompts. We Vic Spirit owners actually have to look at the tool to figure out where the blade is! ;)

I never noticed that. I go by the clip. The serrated blade is on the side with the clip. The plain edge blade is on the side that's plain.

Those serrations are a clever indicator.
