Banzai! Er, I mean Bonsai. A somewhat dead bonsai, but still very Japanese.

Actually, it is also a knife.

The blade fits in a groove in the rock, leaving just the roots exposed.

That is so cool! How do you keep the edge from getting dull resting on the rock, and scratching up the blade?

Great execution and very imaginative.......I really like edged art like this.

I like that very much it is a nice art piece so different so cool thank you for showing it

WOW -- me TOO!!! I love this sort of thing. I love to display knives and something different like this is just very kewl! Being quite similar to an Ulu, it would fit into my Inuit display quite nicely.

Well..... that is beyond cool!

At first glance I wondered, What is that doing here? Then.....!

VERY cool...and creativity off the charts!

Looks like it would function well in the kitchen too!

This quite clearly exemplifies my definition of "art knife", in that it is clearly a beautiful and creative work of art independent of being a knife, but it is also clearly a knife. Bravo.

Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback, it really inspires me to keep on designing and making the knives I like. My next few knives are some generic folders for a client, then I want to do something along the ulu / mezeluna / herb knife lines again.
