Something like the Kershaw One Ton with better steel?

So, here's the requirements for today's gomipile recommendation thread:

1.) Stainless frame lock (absolutely not titanium.)
2.) G-10 or micarta scale on the non locking side. Basically, any non-metallic grippy scale material.
3.) A clip that can be positioned for tip-up right hand carry.
4.) "Nicer" steel than 8Cr13MoV, 440C, or AUS8. S30V or better is preferred.

Other than that, for this purpose I slightly prefer manual to assisted.

Its slightly shorter than the one ton, but the benchmade 755 MPR would fit the bill aside from the ti frame lock (why no ti?), features green g10 non locking scale, and the absolutely excellent m390 blade steel while having a very similar look. Despite its blade length of only 3" (the one ton is 3.5") the MPR is a thick, beefy, beast of a knife.

I specified that it be a stainless frame lock, absolutely not titanium.

Edited my original post...why absolutely no ti? Unfortunately in your case you aren't going to find many (any?) steel frame locks with high end steel. Knives with frame locks and high end steel typically use high end handle materials as well, meaning titanium is the industry standard...

Because I want it to be close in price point to the Buck Lux Pro, which is a stainless frame lock with S30V, but unfortunately is tip down only and has a stainless non locking scale. I'm much more concerned with comfort and function than "high endedness." I don't want fancy milling on the G10, etc.

Besides, I just like the feel of stainless frame locks.

Maybe build a hybrid Leek using the SS lock side of a Leek blem (cheap) frankensteined onto the blade and G10 nonlocking side of an S30V Leek.

I have absolutely no idea if it would work, but I got nothing else.

Thats a good idea!

Thats a tall order. It will be difficult to find all of those in 1 folder. If you were willing to give up one or the other you could easily find something. Any way here is my recomendation.

Kershaw groove- 2 different blade styles (drop and tanto), manual, g10 on both sides, unassisted flipper,14c28n steel, R.J Martin designed.

So far, the best I can find is the Kershaw OD-1.

Does Boker make any G10 framelocks with Sandvik steel? I'm not too familiar with their models, and my searches are including a lot of irrelevant results because some vendor websites shotgun keywords too much.

How about the Kershaw Knockout?

Kershaw said:
It’s a Knockout in more ways than one. The Knockout looks great, but the reason it bears this name is that we’ve "knocked out" a piece of the G-10 handle and inset a stainless-steel plate to create a frame lock that we’re calling a Sub-Frame Lock. You get the lightweight benefits of anodized aluminum handles and the strength of a steel frame lock with integral lockbar stabilization. The Knockout also features SpeedSafe® assisted opening. It’s equipped with our new deep-carry clip and is drilled for quad-carry: tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed. Made in the USA.

Steel: Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel

Specs:
Handle: Machined G-10
Blade Length: 3 1/4-in. (8.3 cm)
Closed Length: 4 5/8 in. (14.3 cm)
Overall Length: 7 7/8- in. (20 cm)
Weight: 3.6 oz.

Features:
• SpeedSafe® Assisted Opening
• Thumb Stud
• Pocket Clip
• Flipper
• Sub-Frame® Lock

Just get one. It's 20 bucks.
