First of all, let me emphasise that this is NOT a problem as such, just a strange new "feature" I've only noticed today.

First, some background. I use Firefox as my web browser and I have a number of add-ons installed. One of these is Noscript. It filters out javascripts and other potentially nasty utilities that can be used to break into your computer.

Obviously I let Bladeforums through and allow it to do what it does but one of the things I don't normally let through is google-analytics.com which tries to weasle its way in on the back of most other web pages.

Just today I've noticed that noscript is blocking google-analytics from trying to run a script every time I click on the 'User CP' and 'New Posts' links at the top of the BF window.

As I say, it's not a problem, I just let noscript do its blocking and BF runs as normal. I'm somewhat curious though as to why its just started doing this.

No big deal.

All pages on BF are linked to google analytics by design (to track traffic etc.). Bladeforums.com's server generates the javascript link, on the fly, when producing a web page.

Yeah, I'm just wondering why I've only stated noticing it being blocked today.

Has it always been linked to google analytics or only recently?

I'm either going to have to start drinking more red wine, or less red wine. Not sure which!

Actually the analytics was just put back in last night, so that's very observant of you. It'd been taken out since March.

Thank [insert favourite deity here] for that, I thought my mind was disolving faster than it should.
