A friend asked me to whip these up for him. He got the idea from a YouTube video. I actually found the deep strips provide extra traction.

These are in cocobolo rosewood.

Wow. Really nice. Don't the grooves give you blisters or something after exteded use? You might wanna consider upgrading to stainless bolts. Just sayin'.

I really like the looks of that mod, but like maethor, I'd be a little concerned about the ergos. Have you used it much since the mod?

Great point, guys. Usually I wear leather gloves when doing a lot of wood processing so I wouldn't notice it.

If I don't want to wear gloves or it becomes a problem, I can switch to smooth!

Those handles are GREAT! Also, love the Gen 1 BK2 without pommel extension.
