The one with the straight spike is the one from the forging demo I did last week. I forged the other head on Saturday. The knife I did around 6 years ago. Slight change from what I'm doing now. Back then I did about half forged and half stock removal blades. The blade on this one is suppossed to be D-2, at least thats what I was told when I bought the steel. Time to go pack my bags for the KWKC Show.

Nice stuff Raymond! I like hawk #2, and the recurve on that knife. But I have to say I prefer the more organic flowing shapes of your recent knives; anyone can make a recurve but no one else can make those sweeping beauties you keep coming up with. Thanks for sharing and good luck at the show!

Dave, I'm not leaving here with high hopes about the show but you never know. They did it once last fall and I was told the customers kept asking where the custom makers were. I do know I'll be leaving a few pieces with Blade Gallery before I come back home. When I did that knife I actually did 3 very simular. For some reason or another when I did stock removal I had a heck of a time comming up with ideas. Now its do I do a hawk or a knife.

How do these pictures look? To me they look to bright....

From a non-photographers standpoint I think the pics are excellent.

I still love those hawks. I love them all I don't care what you change. I just love them. I want them all. I want to make some. I want to own some of yours.

Now I have to ask myself.......how does it feel to want.........
