With the birth of my son 9 months ago, I find it very hard to have the time or energy to set up the light tent to take pics, and it has been a few months since I was last able to do so.So, when my wife kindly took the little guy out for the day last week, I set it up and took a lot of pics, many were knives I have had for some time, but wasn't happy with the pics I took of them back then, others are newish knives, but, old or new, I thought I'd share some of them here.

First up is a sweet little Bradshaw MS. spearpoint bowie, I'm not usually a huge fan of spearpoints, but, this one works for me. :) Blade is a little under 6" of forged, 2-bar "Explosion" damascus, as is the guard and ferrule, the buttcap is a neat 4-bar twist, with a blued takedown screw. Handle is some super sweet stag with great color and texture. As I think Roger said when he saw this one: "Bailey nailed it." This knife is so photogenic, it was like shooting fish in a barrel. :)

Next is a knife I believe I posted pics of when it was on its way to me, but I finally was able to photograph it myself. To me, the knife isn't fully mine until I take my own pics, sounds silly maybe, but it feels that way sort of.

Rob Patton JS. Fighter. Approx. 9" blade of diff tempered, forged Mini-Gun damascus, guard and buttcap are both forged mini-gun steel, black pearl inlay on buttcap. Handle is F-18 carbon fiber. F&F is flawless, I wanted one of these for a long time, so, when I saw it for sale on TNK, I jumped in, and figured out how to pay for it later. :)

Next up is the first folding bowie I ever bought of Bailey's, it may be what got me so into his work. Had some older pics of it, I thought these came out better. 3.5" forged multi-bar twist blade, heat blued, bolsters of the same, hammered silver liners and pin, blued damascus backbar, some amazing bark ivory with cream, brown and some blue/green. It's a bale lock, with a silky smooth action, no play in any direction, amazing knife!

Another Bradshaw I have had for quite some time, and never was happy with the pics, these came out better I thought. 5.5" blade of forged Pool and Eye damascus, neat, unusual temper line, not often seen on damascus blades, stainless guard with 24K gold inlays, more gold inlay on the stainless buttcap, even the blade has some! Gorgeous English Walnut handle, just a very attractive presentation hunter.

The first knife I bought from Don Hanson, wasn't my last. :) 5" fighter, forged W1 blade etched to reveal a killer Hamon, and, you can clearly see the "Wootz-like" grain structre of the steel. His trademark mosaic damascus bolsters and some amazing stag for the handle, it was after receiving this knife that I realized how remarkable Don's workmanship is, and he has yet to disappoint me. :)

Huge 12" Mike Williams MS. bowie, won "Best Bowie" at the 2003 SOS show, and was featured in Blade. Plus, Mike's a great guy too. :)

And finally, the most recent addition to my collection, a really nice McIntyre small bowie, I posted KnifeArt's pics when it was incoming, but here it is through my camera's lense. :) 2-bar damascus blade, killer Buckeye Burl handle, large, satin stainless guard, this guy makes a very sweet bowie, my first of his, hopefully not my last.

Knives are as important to me as to you, Ari. But that little boy of yours is a real winner! :D

Thanks for such clean photos.

Thanks Coop, you are right though, I love knives as much as anybody, I'd trade them all in a heartbeat if he needed something. As much as I do love them, when I look into his eyes and he stares into mine, with that innocence and love, I know that knives are next to meaningless, and that he is everything. :)

Whilst on a recent trip to Romania I did a deal with an old gypsy who cursed this knife, if it ever leaves Ari's possession the only person able to own it without untold misery and pain will be me!

Some great shots of some fantastic knives Ari, mind you I think you have a bit of sadistic streak to keep rubbing it in! :D
