Something old?

Hello,
It doesn’t look like a knife/knife blade to me but it’s difficult to tell from that single picture without a size reference or different angles.
Steel can rust very quickly outside so while it’s certainly at least a few years old there’s no easy way I know of to age a piece of metal like that unless it’s formed into a recognizable shape. (Probably decades old however).

its was part of something alright
but very unlikely to be a knife relic.
perhaps its a horse hoof pick now...

Thank you for all replies. Still don`t know what can it be and my imagination still sees it like some kind of blade`ish thing. But more probably it`s something connected with old egriculture etc.

It's old and very rusty wall pipe hanger :^D

I got a few in my possesion, in much better shape, not in my knives collection yet ...
Sorry !

You can spark test it on a bench grinder. If it is low carbon steel, unhardenable steel, then it is an industrial piece of equipment, such as a cultivator tine.
