Hello, guys,
Any suggestions which Swamp Rat would chop bones the best? My wife looks at my Busse BA3 and wants to use it in the kitchen. :) In truth, I don't mind, but I find it a bit light for chopping.
Regards,

My guess would be the Battle Rat most likely, but in the kitchen I would go with the Camp Tramp. Bones should be no match for either you choose.

BR over the camp tramp because its more blade heavy. Blade heavy means better chopper to me. :)

How about the Paul's Ratchet?

I initially went with the CT because the BR is such a large knife I thought it might be a bit to large for kitchen use. After looking at it in the home tonight, it is not that bad. The Battle Rat, you can't go wrong with the Battle Rat, you will be happy with the Battle Rat, definately the Battle Rat.

Cerberus ;)

May I extend a bit the task: mainly chopping in the kitchen, but also to take with myself for camping. I do not think I will chop a lot of wood or bushes though, but I would prefer something cheaper.
What do you think about the Paul's Ratchet? Is Paul's Ratchet convenient to chop?
Regards,
