Decided to make a special run of my K-TUSK...skeletonized...S30V...with a durable coating.

And this is the result:

Whatcha think?

WOW, AWESOME!
Those are just spectacular. The bottom one calls my name. HeHe
If I had not just gotten a wonderful D-2 Spearpoint K-Tusk, with Black/Blue handles in the mail today, I would be trying to get that one.;)
BTW, Dan the one I got in a private sale (never fast enough for a spearpoint one when they come up) has no TekLok, how much to get one from you? I would like to make this one a main EDC, and a carry method is a major need.
I was already out making marshmellow sticks for the fire and it did great. The handle angle seems to make it just right for slicing chores. I love it!!

I have handled these and they are REALLY cool! This is one of the coolest finishes I have EVER seen!

those are sweet... and i think that coating would work on a "super chopper"/camp knife. mmm. neat.

i think dan "needs" to make a small axe now too ;)

Here are some "sharpened" pics...:D

Nice, that is one special unique finish.

More than this it would have look like a leopard camo, but your "dose" is right.

Yes - I can put a handle on it...but I don't plan on it for this one. However...Tom Krein and I are kicking around an idea for some coated blades that will get handles. Should be cool!

Very interesting finish!
How durable do you think it is?
Could you do your makers mark through it...if you wanted to.

Can't wait to see these in person.

just playing around with it a bit....it is more durable than duracoat and gunkote. It doesn't scratch up like they do.

I've put the coating on 2 of my WSKs....that will be the ultimate test.

I'm really liking those! Depending on the price (what might that be?) I may need to get myself one before the year ends. Nice, innovative, and contemporary work!

These will be $155 and will include a kydex sheath. Thanks!
