I got some "knife money" for Christmas, so I have an opportunity to spend more than I usually would.

Looking for a folder. I'm a very light user, prefer blades around 2.5 - 3 inches, for me aesthetics is what matters. Fit and finish is important, blade steel isn't. I love carbon fiber and damascus.

The current favourites in my collection are my Spyderco Lum Carbon Fiber, and my Boker Anti - Grav.

Maybe with this budget it's time for me to finally get a Mcusta or Benchmade?

Open to all suggestions, but remember, I'm looking for that cool/"X" factor, not a user. So please no suggestions of a Military or the like.

I have two Mcusta knives, the Take in Staminawood and the new Nami small. The Take is a very unusual and pretty knife. Fit and finish are just about perfect.
You can't go wrong with one of the Take variants, or other Mcusta knives.
I just picked up the small Nami. It has a 70mm blade and the body is stainless at about 94mm long. Many web descriptions are off on this one.
The fit and finish are great and the knife is a beauty. There is just one small flaw - I can't readily open the sucker with one hand. It is fine if you don't mind
this difficulty. It is a framelock and the engagement is on the stiff side. Other than this, the knife is really fine.

how about the nemesis knives manx? http://www.bladehq.com/item--Nemesis-Manx-Folding-Pocket-Knife-3--11054

nemesis is practically mid-tech so the production quality is great.

it has carbon fiber, a vg-10 blade, and best of all a Ti frame lock. If you dont have a Ti framelock then ill tell you that they are wonderful.

even better than all this is the price tag, just a bit over 1 bill. That means you could get a nemesis knives imp as well: http://www.bladehq.com/item--Nemesis-Imp-Black-Palm--5989

which would give you two premium folders that fit your intrest group. there isnt alot of play on nemesis knives here but they are top-notch.

hope they spark your intrest.

One of the on-line vendors has a Delica Demascus Orange Bone for $199. That's the one with the titanium bolsters and file work. Nice little knife! If you want to know which one, email me.

spyderco chokwe is pretty unique but a tad bit larger than you listed. it's a titanium framelock with a cpm-s30v blade.

the kershaw echelon is very unique but i don't think it's out yet. It has a semi-translucent g10 handle and a 14c28n blade.

Mcusta would be a very cool piece. Love there designs! That orange bone damascus Delica, mentioned above, would also be very cool.
