I’ve recently starting baking bread a bit more and you need something very sharp to cut the dough so it rises properly during baking.
The usual tool is called a Bread Lame, which is a handle with a razor blade attached. Some of them look quite dangerous with both edges exposed.
So I started looking for something else and came across a company selling Skin Graft blades for Scalpel Handles. Both the blades and handles are pretty cheap. I used it today and it worked perfectly. Much more compact than many Lames, it fits safely in a telescopic plastic container when not in use.

Nice when a plan comes together and one finds a solid alternative to the rum of the mill stuff..👍👍👍

What I didn’t like about many of the Lame’s is that both edges of the razor blade are exposed. There’s no practical need for this.
Some are also quite expensive for injection moulded plastic handles.

Linder classic WHAT WOULD YOU CALL THIS?

That looks like a version of Linders "Original Texas Hunter" bowie, which is a copy of a 1930's-1940's German RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst/ Reichs Labor Service) knife.

A Linder Texas Hunter. This one has the "Original Texas Hunter" blade etch.
