I'm guessing the glue lansky uses doesn't like Canada, also being dropped multiple times during the handling process in shipping.
I have a hot glue gun or should I use a different adhesive?

a hot glue gun should get your running, and may last a while if you don't drop them.

those look like the superfine sapphire stones, so they shouldnt see any hard work.
I'd probably lean towards a thin epoxy or superglue adhesive for a more permanent bond....very thin layer of adhesive

I'd recommend one of the various epoxy cements at Canadian Tire. Those have some no-quit hold, if I've ever seen it

epoxy or 3M Super 77 Spray for sure over hot glue.

I used Super Glue gel and it's been holding for over a month. Probably used 3 or 4 times, so not much of a test yet. I'll post if it fails.

Mine came loose too, I used JB Weld a few years ago, still holding.

Many bench stones that comes with plastic base are glued with PU (polyurethane) adhesive.
