and taking a rest in the shade...

The dry winter and hot summer hammered some of the trees on the property, so I HAD to do some clearing of a few trees that didn't make it. I WAS going to use my chainsaw, but....

I bought Mr. Siegle's user NMFBM on Monday and it arrived today (can we say super fast delivery??? Thank YOU!!!). I didn't wait long to put this beast to work. The edge wasn't the sharpest, but the mass of this thing made up for it. All of this was done in about 10 minutes (piled and all). The photo shoot took longer ;).

Since the handles were already darkened from use, I dyed the handles with black shoe dye and let dry a few minutes before heading outside to WHACK stuff. I think I'm gonna like this one!!! The edge needs to be BANNED!!! Maybe when he gets caught up with the hundreds of PM's he just got hammered with now that he's back.

Nice pix of a awesome blade in action!!!

You mean those handle slabs arent black g-10?

Nope black canvas micarta, I'm not sure if Bill sanded them down or not, but they were dark and had definately been used. They are VERY comfortable!!! I did all the chopping with no gloves, just to see if I'd get any hot spots. None, but I didn't chop all day either (If I did, I'd wear gloves anyway).

We'll see how the dye holds up...I'll keep ya posted.

All the best,

Stump
