On this picture you can see the same leather.Only difference is that, that I put leather on the left side under warm/hot water for maybe 4 seconds (I could hold my hand under it) and after drying it lost some of the colour and shine. (It had normal colour after wetting,I think). Can someone explain me how this could happen for a couple of seconds?

In my experience, I'd guess it depends on the chemicals in the water and it begins to wash away chemicals lift over from the tanning process.

Use distilled water next time and see if it does it again. I'd still say it's washing some chemicals from the tanning process from surface of the leather though.
 
Thank you druid189, maybe I'll try that next time, i just wanted to see will the stamp be deeper if i use warmer water for stamping

anytime bud. Again, I'd offer that it's going to be different for each different piece of leather you stamp. no two leathers will tool the same.

Coincidentally...have you tried to buff that with a clean cotton tee shirt rag or lambswool? try that to see if it brings a shine back.
