Something you wish you'd never done when buying a CRK

The site with the fine knives showed a large Web Sight on their in the early spring of 10'. I called the next day to

buy the knife. Shannon, the owner of OFK, told me that a WS wasn't inside the box marked WS. I didn't know anything about

regulars in 10'. A BF member, that I talked to on the phone a few times kept telling me that the TNK tanto zaan was a really

cool knife.

I called TNK and ordered a tanto Zaan bc OFK didn't have a WS. OFK had a large Native American on their site for $455......as I said I didn't know anything

about regulars in 10'. I think about not buying that Native American quite often.:(:(:(

Anyone else have a story about something they wish they didn't do when they bought a CRK.............

Well, when I bought the 21st Anniversary Sebenza a few years back, the site where I bought it also had 4 Gold Coin Sebenzas for sale at about $1250 ea. Shoulda/coulda/woulda bought them all if I had known better :(

So, in keeping with your theme - I wish I didn't just buy the one knife and pass on the the others.

I had a chance at 4 genuinely mint South African made OPKs. They even had the "blackjack logo" boxes ! ......Aye, someone else owns them now. :foot: It was years ago now but that one it still bothers me a little. :p

I remember trying to buy that Native American from that site around that time, and it was already gone. It stayed on the website for some time after that.

So, to make you feel a little better, you may not have had a chance at that after all. :D

I regret that I didn't somehow wait a day longer to get on a medevac out of Afghanistan in 2012. I bought this, and it arrived at my base one day after I left. I never got to see it. :(

Wow, that must of broken your heart.

I missed out on a beautiful Honduran sebbie, it had a badly ground bevel, but I probably could of fixed it.

Ouch! I hope you were/are ok. What happened to the knife? Did you lose your $$?

Yeah, I'm reasonably OK from that one. Someone there just kept it. I lost the $$$, because I wasn't going to file a claim against the seller. It wasn't his fault.

I ragret ( :D ) not buying a large and small RoF when they were available from teh dealer..
Speakin' of..I need to order another Spirograph ;)

About a year & a half ago i was offered a LNIB large 21 with mammoth ivory inlays...great looking creamy white uniform ones...for a very reasonable price...
Having a preference for plains, without inlays, i passed on it...regret that sometimes...

Wow that is rough, sorry to hear that.

Over the years I have let a few ago that in hindsight, I was left scratching my head as to why I sold them! However, no regrets, as they all ended up in very good hands who will appreciate them as much, if not more, than I would.

Once upon a time there was a large Sebenza with morse-code on the scale (CRK motto).
There was a misspelling, I told the retailer, who sent it back.
I should have bought it instead.

I wish I had never bought more Classics than Regulars years ago. I do have more Regulars than Classics now, but I had to pay aftermarket price for two of those. I love the Classics, but do prefer the Regulars over any knife ever made.

Another thing I wish I had never done is trading my year 2000 UG with BG-42 for a Busse when I first joined Blade Forums 10 years ago. Tried to buy it back a few years later, but he had just sold it.

A lady was selling me a pair of "P" sebenzas at a knife show. Large and small. No clip on them, and they had a beautiful matching graphic on them. Pristine condition, made specially for her and her husband, as they were friends of Chris. I held them, and the lady said $900 takes them home.
I should have bought them instantly.

That, and I foolishly sold my pre-idaho, no LBS, Dino jimping, old pivot, s30v Zaan.

I would do anything to get back my Large 21 with Micarta inlays, polished blade, with silver hardware with the birthdate Oct. 13, 2011. It has a single slash that goes the length of both micarta inlays on the front so it is easy to spot. PLEASE, if anyone has it I will buy you a brand new one for it.
It was my first 21 and I would love to have it back. PLEASE, and I have tried tracking down the person that I sold it to but it wasn't possible (long story) but I know they visit some of the knife forums so please, if you see it or own it, please let me know. Any New Sebenza in trade for it from any dealer or cash. Just please help me find it.
Thank you and God Bless.
