A few weeks back I decided I needed another knife. Yes, that's right, I had a valid justification for something different; that idael reason we're all longing for. I needed a small pen knife for "social" occasions and I didn't like any of the old ones currently stashed around the place. Ideally it would be small, compact, single blade with pearl (or even better tortoise) scales.

I've been working a lot, and rarely get to spend the time I want on my hobbies, but while sitting in the airport scrolling thru the "bay" on the phone, I found just what I was looking for! And it was closing! So I placed my bid and basically forgot about it until I got home and the package was waiting.

What came out of the wrapping was not what I expected. Not the fault of the seller; the blame was all mine. In a hurry I just saw what I wanted to see in the shape of the knife and failed to look at the details.

I now own a large single blade (locking) pen knife. English jack? Whatever...

How big is it? Bigger than the Case Back Pocket. Pen knife on steroids. Pretty cool though. It's really growing on me. Slim, smooth, pretty; kind of hard not to like the package.

Besides, I still have an excuse to pick up a small pen knife...

That's a pretty cool looking knife! I can definitely see why it's growing on ya'
Any reason is a good reason for a new knife in my book!

That's a neat knife, I have recently bought a Grand-Daddy Barlow with the exact same scales..... I Love the knife, and I think yours is a great buy, what year do you think this is?

I like the looks of that design. Nice and simple and smooth, and I like big spear point blades. And do you *really* need justification for a new knife? ;)

Oh, so funny, that this knife is your "small, compact, single blade"!

Next time you will be attending a social event (hopefully requiring suit pants with sleek pockets), you should bring this knife along anyway. If anyone asks "What... ?", tell them, "Oh, I bought this specifically for such occasions."

It's all true!
