Stephen King would be proud, he wrote a book about this knife. OK, so the book was about something else, but who's picking nits? ;) :p :D

So let me refer back to something I said here, and a couple other places, to include the thread I posted to sell it this last time....
If it comes back, it's here to stay.

...........
Small African Blackwood Classic. This one really lives up to it's name, these inlays are almost black! This was my first Sebenza,
I've sold it or traded if off twice. Each time it comes back, this time with the clip removed and a new lanyard attached. Think
it's time to put the clip back on and turn this one loose again, and see how long it takes to get back to me again. ;)
...............

I missed that knife, but had to let some go. Really can't afford to buy anything now, but with a friend in need sometimes you just have to find a way to make it happen. And happen, it did. Lil Blackwood is coming to Casa_de_Wolfe to live for the 4th time! And it's bringing friends!

I guess it likes the food here. :o

Not again:)- I was wondering about that one when you sold it. Glad you got it back. I have mentioned it before but the small classic MM African blackwood was also my 1st and I also sold mine and got it back, but not 4 times:)

Lol, awesome, wish i could get all mine to come back home.

Whats that saying, "If you love something, set it free blah blah..."

I have felt the same way about some things I have sold and wished they later came home

Congrats on the fourth time! I have the same knife and I think it would be one of the last ones I let go...

Great pics! Hard to be sure, but it look like yours might be a small hair lighter than mine. We'd have to see them side by side to be sure, though.

Now that I have that and a companion lrge Classic inbound, I wish I hadn't sold the Mnandi. The one coming with the Sebs is a newer style in Ebony, it's going on the block as soon as I get it to ease the financial sting a bit. Pretty knife, but not special one to me.

I've come within a hairsbreadth several times on pulling the trigger on a Large AB 21.

The one pictured has a polished clip. The knife was (and is) in great shape, but the clip was pretty scratched up. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I tried to polish it to match the polished scales with kinda "meh" results. I posted about it here and Ghostwalker sent me a knew blasted clip free! Someone else offered to re-blast mine for free. You gotta love the members of BF!

If the Blackwood gets a case of wanderlust again, consider sending it a looong distance - 😜. My part of the world would do just fine ;)

I had to bring this thread back, because it happened again. And it was the large Blackwood shown above. I traded it away shortly after this thread ran, but still have the small. Lately I started missing that large, as it's a beater. A perfect carry knife. Then it happened a large AB Classic popped for sale at a reasonable price yesterday morning. The pics were to small to show the individual scratches, but when I took it out of the box tonight, I recognized it instantly. Mismatched date codes and all. :D :)

Welcome back, my little friend!

Yep, the exact knife. And the Mnandi has been here 3 times. And the large is on it's second time here. The real twist is I've owned probably over 400 CRK's by now, sold or traded away about 300 of them. Nothing but the Blackwoods have ever come back, and those are the only Blackwoods I've ever owned with the exception of a no-doc Mnandi with Zebra damascus that I've had a couple months now.

Wow Lone Wolfe,
I would say these blades were meant to stay with you! Very cool.
