I picked this one up on a whim. Good price. Only have one other doctors knife. This is an interesting variation. I'm on a yellow kick. I like Remington knives. I like Camillus knives (I'm assuming). I did not expect to like this knife as much as I do. F&F is outstanding. And I love the slim profile, long blade. Go figure. Here it is.

And this is the dragonfly that landed on my face when I was taking the last pic that almost cost me a stab wound to the neck (he's not breathing anymore):

Cool knife!! What year is that Remington? I don't know much about them, so is it current production? And if so, where's it made? I *think* that Remington knives were once decent and made in the USA, but are now cheap chinesse knives. Anyway, that dragonfly got what he was asking for :D

Yeah, he did. ;) Year, I don't know. It's hard to date the Camillus Remingtons. Someone more knowledgeable?

Thanks. I think I'll do that. My guess is the knife is 40-50 years old. But that is just a guess. If it is it is in damn good shape. The fact that it looks so nice makes me wonder. It is either newer than I think it is or someone never used it and took real good care of it.

Very cool Dan. I don't own any Doctor knives. That is very nice looking though. Great find.

They were most likely made in the early 2000's - like '01 or '02.

That would certainly fit with the way the knife looks. The tang stamp is throwing me off, though, but I have learned that you can't always trust the tang stamp. ;)

I've found the downside. It really likes to slip out of a side pocket. Might have to be a backpocket knife.
