Sometimes you just have to wonder...

This is so funny...

I was watching this on my phone since this axe was listed. I came into work today and my ebay app popped up and said this was ending. I immediately said what the heck and showed my co-worker who also laughed. I just dont get it.

I'm definitely not gonna post pics of it when it shows up @ my house later this week. Daddy always said that I was a disappointment. Guess he was right :(

If it makes you feel better, I've wasted money on axe heads on ebay despite them being to heavy for me to actually swing. Whats even stupider is I've done it three times now, you'd think I'd have learned. :foot:

Seriously, it wasn't me this time, but I too buy heads that are way to heavy or impractical for me. Something about a 5 or 6lb head on a thick handle does it for me... Wife says I'm nuts. I think she's right...

LOL, that's pretty funny. Goes to show what lack of knowledge will get you. If this person has friends you could get rich by buying new CT axes and posting them on ebay as vintage and double your money.

I didn't even think about it being someone here on the ATH!! No offense if the buyer is reading this!

ALSO, the description does not say "vintage" or anything like that. It just says it's a council. So it's not like the dude was misrepresenting it or anything. Two bidders must have just gotten into a pissing match about it.

I was watching a auction on a 5" post vise that went for over $800!! The same vise can be had anywhere for $75-$150..Bidding wars..Though if you have the money and your happy thats what matters...

Nice looking piece. I wonder if the new ones look as good as this one. I had a council jersey classic and gave it away. Never could get the handle just right and that aluminum wedge needed tightening every so often.. The profile on mine had sort of a hook to it towards the right. It was a good beater though and tough as anything I own.
With that said I wouldn't pay that much for it. But that's great ebay needs more buyers like that.....

yes, that is a bit odd...

kinda like today when i bid on a crosscut saw that i really didnt want 'just for the hell of it'... and got it!
