Here is one that I made just fooling around between letting epoxies, leather, and various other things dry or cool off.

It has a slight hint of "Pukko" in there somewhere. Not sure, never done one like this before.

Forged 1084 (about .135 thick on the flats)
Damascus in front of handle
Handle material is a piece of Walnut that I got from Don Hanson a couple of years ago
OAL - 8 3/4"
Blade Tip-to-Handle - 4 1/4"

What say ye ?

I like it a lot! I think with a guard It would be almost perfect. That's just my opinion though. And you know what they say about those.

I like it! (It does look like it would be quite easy to slip up onto the blade, though.)

Has puukko aspects. Steel is right. OA and blade length are right. Thickness is right. Lack of guard is right (for draw-cuts, not stabbing). Diamond cross-section? If so, that is very puukko. Swell towards the butt (so it does not slip out in draw cuts) is leuku-like, but that feature is finding it's way to knives that Finnish makers call "puukot" (plural) and they should know. If they saw this, they might be inspired to try a sinuous center line and a ricasso. Nice!
