Just when your not expecting it you get struck by the knife nut bug. I've been out of it for a few years and been very happy with my Chamblin Wharncliffe. I would occasionally browse the forum but not post. I thought I was healed.
Now, I'm all hot and heavy about these damn slip joints. I've got to have one soon and a nice one. I can't hold out.
I need a little help from you guys who have already suffered through the first stage. I don't want to do anything stupid....help me!
First, I want something pretty, quality, a work of art...something to take me away while I'm on the toilet at work.
I'm looking for something that's not too big and bulky to wear in light weight slacks.
I have two options...please advise:
A Ruple Wharncliffe Whittler, Green Bone or Pearl
or
A Ryuichi Whittler...see link

Lastly, if you have a good pick of Ruple's green bone scales or any other makers, I would really appreciate it. Most of the green bone that I've seen in pictures appears more brown.
Thanks a lot,
Dave
