My youngest son (35) just shocked the hell out of me he is re-enlisting in the Army. Looks like I'll have to make him another knife a bigass fighter. :(

IG please send all my best wishes to him and thank him for helping to protect our country and Constitution.

Indian George, you will make a fine fighter. When the Caveman had to make one for his brother to carry with him we wrote in magic marker the words "please protect this good man" on the bare metal before the handles were put on top of that. That was an emotionally difficult knife to make, but never the less it was made. You can do it George and hope you don't mind a prayer sent your way. Bless you, Cavelady

Thanks for his service, and prayers for your him and your family. I know its difficult on both ends. I'm sure a knife from his dad will be a comforting peice of home for him wherever the service takes him.

Fingers are crossed, prayers are said and I'll burn a sock for him George.
This war is starting to look familiar.

May God watch over him and the rest of our soldiers. Thank him for protecting our freedom and serving his country. He'll feel secure carrying a knife made by his Dad.

I keep thinking about the knife his dad is gonna make for him. That has to make him proud and gives IG the chance to send a piece of himself along with his son. I don't think it gets much better than that. Thank God for our men and women who care enough for our country to put everything on the line to watch out for her.
