Hi folks, I just wanted to share a few photos and give my thanks to Sonnemann for his kind giveaway recently.
The prize was this lovely Case Stockman.
It's my second Case, but first experience of their carbon steel blades....and what a good example!
The blades profile tell the tale of a well used and sharpened knife. And I mean 'well' in every sense. Both the clip and the Sheepsfoot show slight 'recurving' but they are razor. ALL the blades in fact are wonderfully keen.
The springs are nice and 'stiff' too. I like this in a knife. They feel real solid and dutiful, ready to keep those blades open as they are worked honestly in the field.
I actually placed the knife in my manbag before I left the house, and upon feeling my pockets, realised I was 'naked'! So I ran upstairs and grabbed my Tidioute #53, forgetting all about the Case until I got to work.
They are a good comparison....
Thanks again for your generosity SA. It's nice to be able to have a big brother to my Case SS Peanut, and experience their famous CV steel.
