Son's B-day Party

My son turned 7 this week end and me and my wife wanted to do something fun for him yet keep costs low. So this is what we did.
We got some card board boxes from the commissary. Free handed a few different silhouette's of deer, bear, and then set them up using jute twine and sharpened stakes from local woods.
Then rented some bows from outdoor recreation for $6.
The party was pretty fun, both for the adults and the kids. And no one got hurt :thumbup:

My little guy is 6 so I'll keep that in mind for his next party. Mom would probably veto however.

I actually thought that the second photo was going to be you cutting that nice birthday cake with an RC-4.

Friends in Minnesote sent over the little "real tree" suit, how cute.
We went away at Easter and he came out chasing rabbits, he is now three. Can't start 'em too young.
Great to see a dad taking the time. Keep it up.

That is a proud dad, nice pics. :thumbup: It is good to see kids enjoying outdoors and exploring what nature offers. I have a 2 yo daughter, she is my lil' buddy. She is the reason I bought a Ruger 10/22 and bolt action .22, so she has something to shoot when I take her to the range with me (when she's a few years older). This way I can spend quality father/daughter time with her at the range .
You can never start your children too young on the right path in life !!

I picked my 5yo. up a kids compound bow last year. She's still too small for it.

Hoping she can get some use out of it this year.

I think so too. I am so very lucky to have a wife that understands and allows me to do this stuff too. We have been married now for over 9 years and we still find that we disagree on situations that come up and we are very happily married.
