Last night the boys wanted to go outside and practice fire starting. I told them to grab whatever knife they wanted and head outside. I went to get cotton balls....dryer lint...etc. I'm waiting outside for 5 minutes wondering where they are. I step back inside only to see them fighting. I asked what was going on and all 3 of them wanted to the bushcraft knife. There were 5 or 6 fixed blades in the drawer all of excellent quality and their favorite remains the bushcraft knife. :) No accounting for good taste I guess. They agreed to take turns and off we went....all 4 of us...with one knife. I took some pictures this morning. I have a sneaky suspicion I'm going to by buying more of these.

In the end....6 successful starts in almost total darkness and no blood.

I like the looks of a well-used knife. I'm glad that everyone made it back without spilling blood. Sibling rivalries are nothing to take lightly!

The bushcraft is simply a good knife, sizewise it is perfect. Yes I have bigger knives but this one screams USEFULL. My kids love it too.

I ordered 2 bushcrafts from Dan's first run. My older daughter and son took both of them. I just bought another one on the forum. Thank god my youngest is 3 1/2 years old and won't be able to touch a knife for at least 4 years. It is mine for 4 whole years.

My daughter was at a survival course for children, Wilderness Awareness Organization in Washington. Her course instructor offered to buy her knife. Shortly after that offer, my son complained that he did not have one. He now has mine.

My 2 oldest children now have the DOUBLE K bushcraft. Each one has a bushcraft knife fromTom Krein and Daniel Koster. Sadly, my Krein bushcraft hasn't arrived yet. Soon, I should have a Koster bushcraft knife.

I suggest you buy one for each of your children and yourself. You won't be sorry.

Damn you Lester! I've been trolling the for sale forum for ages tying to snag a 3v bushcrafter and you beat me to the punch by like 2 minutes! You should just let that one pass you buy and let it come to this lonely loving home. I need to feel some bushcrafter love too you know! :D

The little bushcraft is great, love the tiny guard and the no nonesense design.

My kids prefer 4-5 inch knifes so I'm safe for now
