I'm new here so I will be brief. I have a new obsession with this knife thing. I have dabbled in knives for a while just not a specific brand or style till.........I held a Medford, then I saw a chaves 228, the I touched a Curtiss, then I Googled a CRK you get the picture. I'm hooked now. I like bigger knives for some reason I have some kershaws and bucks but that has been about it over the years. I'm a full time fireman and also on a swat team and a firearms instructor so a knife has always been crucial for me. I always just bought what looked cool and not necessarily what "felt cool". Anyway blah blah blah I have looked at ZT 's for a while now and finally saw one in the exchange that I wanted. I bought a ZT 560bw (I like the blackwash). This knife is definitely big enough for sure, very smooth, and feels great to me. So with all that being said I have enjoyed being on here and look forward to getting those knives that I mentioned previously.

Now excuse me while I flip this thing 948 more times today

Congrats on the purchase and welcome! Lots of good people here and lots of good info. Not so good for the wallet, though!

Thanks guys. So one of the others I talked about shouldn't be bought lol? I don't know why but I like the heavy American made ones.

I was apparently fooled by myself and not reading enough. I actually thought the 560 was assisted but it's not. I like assisted knives but the more I play with this one the more I like the manual flippers. I'm just not use to a smooth action like this 560. I know there are some badass China knives I would just rather buy USA.

Still loving mine!

Those scales came from where. Again I'm kinda new to this whole thing. Guns NO knives YES. This is the same as the XM-18 correct? 3 or 3.5? I want some different scales.

Ok maybe I'm wrong on the whole xm-18 tbing?

For the price, it's very close to a real Hinderer, yes.

The Lava Flow Kirinite handle scale I got from another BladeForums user, BellaBlades, who made it for me.
Many great people and craftsmen in this forum. Welcome!

Thanks Rasc0!!! Why do I have such an obsession with the Chaves 228. That is seriously a grail knife for me

I too love big, heavy duty knives. Something built along the lines of a 1911. Love Medfords and ZT's right now. They are incredibly well built. ZT 300bw, 301, praetorian, 187rmp...you get the picture.

I do I do. Chaves, medford, and grayman just to name a few. I'm having a hard time collecting money for the purchase of said knives.

Although I have lots of items from china. I dig the ones from the USA. I love the fact that normal hard working men and women make super freaking cool knives right here in America. I like smooth flippers and just plain rugged looking. Is that possible?

The Zt561 is probably my favorite folder that I've carried and used. Just a very well built knife, I've got a few other Zt's but the 561 is the one that almost always ends up in my pocket.

A little knife porn with my favorite 1911
