I was looking at a Camillus Lev-R-Lok and noticed some of them had "Soque-USA pats.pend. stainless" on the blade.
But they were in Camillus boxes, what's up with that?

Hello,

The Lev-R-Lok was originally developed by a company called Soque River I guess about 10 years ago. Next thing you know, they are being sold under the Camillus banner. I don't know if Soque sold the rights to Camillus or if Soque still makes the knives to be marketed by Camillus, or what.

allenC and Big Rot,
Soque River nives had us produce the Lev-R-LOK for them orignially. They bought them from us and marketed them themselves for a couple of years, but began to have some difficulties in their young business. We now own the design and produce and market the knife. What you have seen are some 'transitional' knives that used some parts originally produced by CAMILLUS for Soque River, but that we still owned. The current Lev-R-Lok's are all marked CAMILLUS.

Neat little knife....kewl idea. Lotsa 'fun-factor'.
