Hello,

Here're a few shots of my new Sorocaba by Ricardo Vilar, Brazilian smith :

Sorocaba Full tang integral Blade in 52100 hand forged from 1" thick round stock. 11” long - "Brute of forge" (custom).
Hard wood scales (Walnut root). Epoxy cement with 3mm pins and hammer the head of pin.
Leather sheath. It's a sheath to be used between the belt and the body.

Ricardo Vilar is really a very nice man. It will be to Arkansas knife show next February 10th.

Best regards,
Coupchoux.

Anyone know Ricardo Vilar?

Hell yeah! A very talented bladesmith. If he's going to Little Rock I sure hope we get to see a preview of his knives.

Coupchoux - that's a pretty serious looking piece of cutlery you have there - I bet it chops like crazy. Here's a real nice integral gaucho knife of Ricardo's:

Hello RogerP,

Yes Ricardo is a very talented bladesmith, and, which is very important too a very attractive personality.

Hi Coupchoux,

Yes, the pics are mine but the knife no longer is. I sure enjoyed it while I had it. It's hard to beat the Brazilians when it comes to value is a big forged integral.

Take care,

Roger

Beautiful blade Coupchoux.

Let's see if I can get one of your pictures to show up in this thread.

Very nice chopper....and very out of the box compared to most I see. It looks like it could chop like hell
