Cover up pretty damascus with handles, that is.
;):p

:D

Latest to come out of the shop. Bigger one, I actually made the damascus. 128 layers of O1/L6/6150/15N20. Prolly a bit over 3/16" thick at the handle, so it doesn't feel like it needs a handle. The smaller, pointier one is a choice piece of Delbert Ealy's "Vines" pattern mosaic damascus, with O1/L6/nickel in the mix. That one is super thinly ground and is only 1/8" at the thickest point. Wish I could keep that one, it came out so nicely, but it's an ordered knife for a local guy.

.

That's because you SUCK at handles.:D

We aren't even going to mention bolsters at this point

Nice grinds, nice steel, amigo.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Maybe you could ease into the handle thing by doing a Japanese-style wrap on a few, followed by Turk's Head knots and such......

About time to just suck it up, Big Times!!! :D

Well, the issue of whether or not to handle the bigger one is moot. A local friend wanted to buy it as is, so I marked my name on it and put a scary sharp razor edge on it. He says he's gonna use it in his kitchen.

BTW, knowing that somebody is actually going to use one of my knives, makes me so happy, I put on a silly Sombrero hat to celebrate! :D
