His name is Mike Turber and he joined a day or two after Spark started the forum. He contributed a great deal to Bladeforums in the early years, in money as well as time. He is no longer involved in the knife industry but he still shows up here once in a while.

Spark stayed with me on his way down to work for Mike who initially owned the forum.

I started it with the help of another person in the industry. Mike was involved in the very beginning, then took it over when the original silent partner bailed out. Mike contributed a great deal and provided the financial backing until I took it over completely. I bought out Mike's portion back in 99 or so. The intimate details past that aren't important.
