You need to use an image hosting site like Imgur. Upload the photo, copy the link, then paste it here.

Obviously I highly recommend joining Here.....

*But I haven't figured out how to post, except via outside apps. Last I tried, years ago, it was a sizing thing I had issues with.

I use android, maybe Other devices are easier?

I stopped trying.

Yeah - i've been lurking for sometime, nervous about joining etc but i love the content and have always wanted to reply.

Yep the sizing can be an issue. I just crop my pics on my phone and upload straight from the iPhone or iPad

I will say, it’s beneficial to include your actual question in the subject line. It attracts folks who know the answer and can help immediately.

(Membership has its benefits, with easy photo posting being one of them)
 
They largely dont have the sizing issue for pics anymore, at least for me. I use a galaxy s23 ultra and it takes arguably the best photos of any phone, they are large in size and it uploads them without issue.

Whereas I have an iPhone from more than five years ago, and whenever I want to post a photo I need to email myself a smaller resolution version as the “large size” gets an error when I attempt to post it..

Interesting.

When it used to do that to me id screen shot it on my phone then upload the screen shot. Faster than emailing it to yourself

I use a resizing app. It's an extra step, and sometimes annoying (I've noticed it can reduce image quality); but it gets my images posted
